Cycling and mountainbiking in the Kitzbüheler Alpen
A Bike Eldorado that leaves nothing to be desired
The holiday regions of Brixental, Hohe Salve, St. Johann in Tirol and PillerseeTal in the Kitzbüheler Alpen with more than 1,700 km of signposted cycling and mountain bike trails make bicycle fans' hearts leap for joy. Be it easy routes for beginners, leisurely E-bike routes or lightning trails for advanced mountain bikers and downhillers - the Kitzbüheler Alpen provide varied diversion for everyone.
The Kitzbüheler Alpen is also the largest E-bike destination in the world. With modern E-bikes, leisure cyclists can effortlessly explore the most attractive destinations and sunny tributary valleys. A large network of rental outlets and recharging stations guarantee that power never runs dry while on the move.

The key to the merits of the region – and many discounts – is the Kitzbüheler Alpen Summer Card. Between May and October it provides free daily transport on all 31 summer cable cars up to the surrounding 14 mountains. It makes 20 high-altitude hiking trails, seven mountain crossings and one long-distance hiking trail straight through the Kitzbüheler Alpen all that more accessible.
For mountain bikers, too, the Summer Card provides a virtual free pass to the starting points of many singletrails and freeride routes. Around Gaisberg in Kirchberg, for example, trailriders and downhill-fans will find several options. The ride up to the Ehrenbachhöhe (take the Fleckalmbahn gondola lift) and back down along the super-long Fleckalm-Trail is considered a "must-ride" among aficionados. A smooth single trail resembling a hiking trail a whooping 7 km long! There is a new downhill trail (5 km) down along the Harschbichl mountain at the Kitzbüheler Horn to St. Johann in Tirol.
